Jul 8, 2008 - What's he on about a microphone for, surely its the megaphone that was the problem, unless...?
alanbuttle Says:
Jul 14, 2008 - Yeah he knows about as much about the difference between a megaphone and a microphone as he does about the law!
columnsx Says:
Jul 14, 2008 - the police do not have to explain everything to these yobs, the police has every right to do that. Go POLICE!
jjmuse121 Says:
Jul 16, 2008 - They do have to explain you idiot. If he doesn't explain the law, then they can carry on doing what they were doing before. You could tell by the way he said 'i don't have to explain that' that Mr. Police Officer doesn't actually know the law himself which shows he is stupid cause it's part of his job to know.So when you say 'Go police' it just shows your stupid for supporting stupity.
Hostile Says:
Jul 16, 2008 - Global warming is your main concern? Our planet is under constant attack from GM crops, industrial waste chemicals, all the unnatural radiation in the air from nuclear weaponry tests and depleted uranium rounds... you really think that a natural element like carbon is the problem?
AnimalMagic1 Says:
Jul 22, 2008 - columnsx .. you come across as though you are un-educated .. just like the yob in uniform who made the illegal arrest!!
Thelastbastionofhope Says:
Jul 22, 2008 - Just a small note but Police officers are charged with; Preventing all offences against the persons and properties of Her Majesty's subjects and funnily enough, to keep the Queens peace. Your pathetic excuse for a protest doesnt sound particularly peaceful, does it?
Thelastbastionofhope Says:
Jul 22, 2008 - Also, while Im on the subject, what sort of outcome do you think your actions will gain? Do you honestly believe that the director of that company will be sat in his office, having heard you outside and think to himself "Oh dear there are four greasy looking, spotty irks outside telling me to stop what im doing, I best comply"!!!! or was this just a ruse in order to provoke the Police into action? Have you really got nothing better to do with you time, sir?
PariahSmith Says:
Jul 23, 2008 - Of course it wasn't to provoke the police. We were there to protest not because we want to screw cops around. What else should do when we have something to say, when abuse is going on? Just sit back and think it's not worth it or actually try to do something about it. Protests like these have stopped several abuses and got a lot of HLS' and Sequani's suppliers, etc. to drop them! It does work. Nice inclusion of personal insults too, good way to argue a point! Oh, and I'm female, sir!
PariahSmith Says:
Jul 23, 2008 - 1. We weren't breaching the peace or commiting any offences. We even stayed on public land. 2. Protests like these are supposed to be lawful in this so-called democratic society. And the European Constitution of Human Rights says so too (articles 10 and 11)3. We had done nothing illegal during this protest - the cops had a camera filming us all the time we were there and they also got our films from the day and they couldn't prove we'd done anything wrong - that's why it was dropped!!
antifahatesnazis Says:
Jul 24, 2008 - fucking idiot police officer GREAT VIDEO VIDEOING WHILE BEING ARRESTED IS PRETTY DAM HARD SO WELL DONE
columnsx Says:
Jul 25, 2008 - i am not a yob but someone who is not blinded by the idea that animals feel pain. These oiks are tearing this country apart and destroying everything, that we have fought for.And jjmuse121, you should try being a police man and you will see ow difficult it is remembering all these laws, only critise things on which you can back up with hard evidence.
PariahSmith Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Who fought for what exactly?Of course animals feel pain! We're animals and we feel pain, other animals have nervous systems and they scream when being hurt...that's not disputed in the world of science, so it's a pretty stupid thing to say. I agree there are a lot of laws - that's why a lot of people don't respect them. When you have laws against murder and rape and things that people agree are wrong, you'll get respect for them. But cops should at least know why they're arresting someone!
columnsx Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - what evidence do you have that animals are the same as humans?Besides how do you know that animals are in pain, they could enjoy it.And we fought once as a unified country, dominating the world, as the BRITISH EMPIRE.oiks like you have no respect for the law or anything else apart from logging your arse's just for some animal. And you rights activists who got the hunting ban, have no idea what foxes are really like? And you never thought about the dogs!
PariahSmith Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Are you seriously trying to argue that non-human animals don't feel pain and that they might even enjoy being kicked or punched or cut open without anaesthetic?!It sounds like you're running out of things to argue but want the last word. Whether or not we respect laws is irrelevant here as no laws were broken - that's why we weren't charged with anything! The cops still acted illegally. I believe I've said this several times now...And how do you know anything about what I think??
columnsx Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - ohhh, you miss understand me, i am very good at debating and i certainly have not run out of things to argue. You broke a law here by obstructing a police officer and clearly the people inside the building, who called in the police to remove you.
PariahSmith Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - "I am very good at debating" Well, you managed to fool me. As I've said, no laws were broken - THAT'S WHY WE WEREN'T CHARGED WITH ANYTHING. That's the last time I'll say that - it's getting a bit silly now. The workers in the building didn't call the cops, the cops were still with us from a demo we'd done at a different company earlier in the day. The police couldn't legally remove us anytway as we were on public land (until the arrest was made) and the demo was lawful.
PariahSmith Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - GENERAL INFO (pay attention columnsx!)The offence (that we didn't commit) is "obstruct a constable in the execution of his/her duty" - Police Act '96, s89(2)Cop must be actin LAWFULLY for this to apply and, as this particular cop arrested my friend UNLAWFULLY under Sec5 for usin a megaphone, no obstruction of the cops durin that arrest, would be illegal. Summary: S5 arrest = illegal and therefore all (so-called) 'obstruction' arrests were also illegal. All backed up by case bein dropped!
98055760 Says:
Jul 31, 2008 - Arrests have to be made according to the written law, and not based on a police officers own political agenda. Even if you don't support these peoples cause, you must stand up for their right to engage in peaceful political decent, which is a fundamental right of any democracy. The alternative is to succumb to a few despots who have commented on this thread and support the formation of a police state based on their own personal ideals. What else do you want to ban?
ecloveanimals Says:
Aug 6, 2008 - to columsx the comment you just made is sooo sad. you are saying that maybe animals don't feel pain. will are you an animals? yes human are animals and yes we feel pain. the same with animals. i am soooo tried of people hurting and disrespect animals on a mass level it is just sad. that we thank that we are better. in fact we are the only animals on earth that has destroy the environment and trash and pollute the water. the animals was doing just fine before we human came.

Aug 8, 2008 - until you post the nfa letter up i dont believe you one minute
PariahSmith Says:
Aug 8, 2008 - I'm not going to waste time humouring you with the NFA letter, or the NWA, ACAB or JCB letter for that matter. Don't believe me? Swivel!
makols1 Says:
Aug 17, 2008 - well number 1, the laws are different in other countries. In some there is no freedom of speech. Number two, they were on private property and disturbing the peace. That is like me standing in the middle of their front yard chanting something all day long while they are trying to relax inside their own home trying to relax.
PariahSmith Says:
Aug 18, 2008 - Not exactly. Number 1 - home demos are illegal and noone's trying to relax at work. It's pretty hard to I imagine when your job is to abuse another living creature. Number 2 (and I believe I've said this already) - we weren't on private property, we were on public land, away from the building. Number 3 - we weren't breaching the peace. Once again - WE WEREN'T CHARGED WITH ANYTHING - we'd done nothing wrong. Cops acted illegally. The End.
