Dec 2, 2008 - I wish this video came out before last Saturday 'coz now I am suffering from a bad right shoulder due to my Sat night performance. Going to the chiropractor but will definitely be doing these exercises as soon as I am better.

Dec 2, 2008 - A great tutorial! You know the upper Midwest--as the summer recedes there will be fewer good days for biking and more time inside the gym, LOL! My Bally's has a similar set-up and I'll try this with the mini-barbells and the bench. Bookmarking this vid in my faves for later practice....

Dec 2, 2008 - Veena,I don't have a work out bench at home so I can I do these exercises one arm at a time at the end of my bed or do you have any other suggestions?
StudioVeena Says:
Dec 2, 2008 - Yes you can do this one arm at a time, on your hands & knees or standing but.. make sure its on a hard surface, a bed is too soft so you couldn't keep the spine and rest of your body in good alignment. With both kneeling and standing you MUST maintain a neutral spine so no rounding or dipping your back. This way is much more difficult because your lower back will get fatigued taking the focus away from the shoulders.

Dec 2, 2008 - A good inexpensive investment is a fit ball... those big inflatable exercise balls. Almost anything you would use a bench for you can use a fit ball in its place!!

Dec 2, 2008 - Thank you so much for this tutorial, and the tip about the fit ball.

Dec 2, 2008 - veena just had to take a minute to tell you what a wonderful woman i think you are. you do an amazing job on the pole and make it look effortless, but also that you take time out of your day to really break down moves and strengthning exersises in a way that is very easy to follow and understand. thanks a million!!!
